Seak peek: Braniff L-1011 fantasy series. Braniff almost ordered the L-1011, and even had the yellow one featured on their investors report.

Well, to round out the fantasy collection (and likely the last Braniff releases from Jet-X in 1/400 save the Braniff DC-9 ultra livery), we're issuing an ultra limited set to Collector Club members. In fact, there will be fewer sets than we have members, and priority will be given to long time collector club members (we'll send out ordering details shortly).

At the UTD Archives I ran across a few slides from test shots of the L-1011, DC-10, Concorde and DC-9 models in various colors. Many I've never seen before. I can't remember the specific colors and at $8.00 a pop I didn't get any copies!

FYI - I think many are misunderstanding the availability. In regards to "long term" club members, this does NOT mean new members can't get them. But because of the limited availability, priority is given to long term members.

If we have 75 people that want them, but are making 80 sets, not an issue; if we have 85 people wanting sets, priority given to long term members.

Order notices will go out Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving) - we will have a one week period to take orders, that's it. The models will ship almost immediately afterwards.

Price, colors, etc. will all be sent in the notice on Friday - keep an eye on your mailbox. If no notice on Friday, something is wrong with your email!

This won't be a cheap set - but at only 80 pcs each, this is our "Xmas" offering.

Do engine covers come with each model?
Are the tail fairings rounded or squared off like some of the pictures show typical L-1011s?

I forgot to reply to this thread. Thanks for these. In getting these I have decied to keep most of my mock Braniffs. These the 747s and the Concordes understandably. I think that the A380s are still good and that those of course have the GSE.
